My Bio
Krystal Harper is a fantasy artist based in Urbana, Illinois. She has received much praise for her work including a purchase award from Oklahoma State University at their yearly Research Symposium and 2nd place in Drawing Discourse, a highly competitive drawing exhibition in Asheville, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oklahoma State University in December 2011. Harper recently completed her Masters Degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign in the spring of 2015.
That's my formal bio, but it doesn't really say much about me. I work mainly in traditional watercolor and illustration. I'm skilled at creating highly detailed flora and fauna, but am currently experimenting with cartoons rather than formal art illustration. In my fine art practice I am considered an installation artist, creating immersive gallery environments that mirror my inner museum/comfort space.

I am currently open for commissions!
Every image I do needs a bit of context. Each commission includes a 20 minute meeting (Skype). The skype conversation allows me to get a more personal image of your subject and will produce an image more tailored to your wants. You can simply send me a message with the details for your subject matter if you're not comfortable with a meeting. I have no content restrictions, though I am not a big fan of drawing fully human characters.
All original art is uncolored. Color is added digitally after the product is finished. Original art can only be stained.
